All gold medals went to Polish athletes as Krakow hosted the 2025 Mayor’s Cup, also serving as an International Canoe Federation Canoe Slalom World Ranking event.
Paris 2024 Olympic silver medallist Klaudia Zwolinska led the charge for the hosts, winning the canoe and kayak titles.
Zwolinska's clean run of 92.47 in the K1 final was almost five seconds faster than compatriot Dominika Brzeska in second place, with Ukrainian Viktoriia Us taking bronze in 98.89.
In the C1 final, world and European medallist Zwolinska received four penalty seconds but so did the silver and bronze medallists.
Zwolinska posted a timing of 105.52, with teammate Aleksandra Gora taking silver in 106.62 and Us adding another bronze in 107.80.
The experienced Michal Pasiut was the star in the men's K1, both in the heats and the final.
While he was quicker in the heats, Pasiut's 83.34 was 1.42 faster than the silver medallist and fellow Pole Dariusz Popiela and Mateusz Polaczyk took bronze in 84.84.
All three medals went to Poland in the men's C1 as well, with Szymon Nowobilski cruising to the title in 93.45.
Kacper Sztuba and Michal Wiercioch won silver and bronze, finishing 1.16 and 1.94, respectively, after the winner.
