Three of the four available titles at the International Canoe Federation World Ranking event in Solkan went to home favourites over the weekend.

Ajda Novak, Eva Alina Hocevar, Luka Bozic and Italian Xabier Ferrazzi claimed gold medals in Slovenia, where more than 320 athletes from 21 countries took to the waters.

Ljubljana native Novak paddled without any touches or mistakes in the women's kayak final, handing her a lead of almost four seconds over second-placed Lucia Pistoni, who clocked 96.72.

Despite two touches, Novak's compatriot Hocevar bagged the final podium spot in 98.26.

The 23-year-old European and World Championships medallist made up for the mistakes by taking the women's canoe title, with a timing of 100.55 enough to beat silver medallist Marta Bertoncelli of Italy and bronze medallist and teammate Elena Borghi.

The 34-year-old Bozic cruised to victory in the men's C1 final in 88.97, getting the better of the Italian duo of Paolo Ceccon and Raffaello Ivaldi.

Ferrazzi ensured that it was not a Slovenian clean sweep, winning the men's K1 gold medal in a tightly contested final.

His victory was only by 0.73 against silver medallist Ziga Lin Hocevar on 84.52 with another Slovenian Lan Tominc taking the bronze medal in 84.62.
