Switzerland’s Alena Marx starred on French waters at the International Canoe Federation Canoe Slalom Ranking Race in Huningue.
The double Olympian claimed four gold medals across all events, boosting her confidence ahead of the ICF Canoe Slalom World Cup Series.
Belgium’s Maxime Aubertin cruised to victory in the men’s kayak, while 19-year-old French paddler Antoine Guerne secured gold in the men’s canoe.
It was further success for Switzerland as Jan Rohrer and Marx claimed victory in the men and women’s kayak cross individual events.
Siblings Dimitri Marx and Alena Marx put their talent on display as the pair captured gold in the men and women’s kayak cross.
Switzerland’s Marx dominated the women’s K1, finishing in 91.81.
Algeria’s Carole Bouzidi took second in 100.12, a huge 8.31 seconds behind the victor, while Svenja Matti of Switzerland completed the podium in 104.59.
In the men’s K1, Belgium’s Aubertin paddled to victory in 80.46, as Switzerland’s Rohrer took silver in 81.43 and Germany’s Enrico Dietz captured bronze in 83.45.

It was victory for Marx again, this time in the women’s C1 as she claimed gold in 99.40.
Switzerland's Fia Buetikofer took second in 107.40 as Eyleen Vuilleumier rounded off a Swiss one-two-three in 108.29.
Home paddler Guerne took the first French gold of the day in the men’s C1, finishing in 92.35.
Austria’s Noa Apollo Milo Oblinger placed second in 93.99, while Dutchman Joris Otten completed the podium in 95.15.
Rohrer stormed to victory in the men’s kayak cross individual, finishing in 55.14, as compatriots Dimitri Marx and Patrick Gutknecht completed the podium in 55.77 and 56.20, respectively.
Marx added to her two gold medals with another victory in the women’s kayak cross individual in 60.84.
Bouzidi took silver in 65.09 and Matti rounded off the podium in 65.66.
Marx rounded off a highly successful event with victory in the women’s kayak cross final, as Jessica Duc and Carla Rhein completed an all-Swiss podium.
Dimitri Marx captured gold in the men’s kayak cross, as Gutknecht took silver and Nicolas Fehlmann took bronze, completing another Swiss clean sweep.
