2019 ICF CANOE SPRINT WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

SZEGED, Hungary
The most important ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships of the current Olympic cycle will take place in what many regard as the spiritual home of canoe sprint, Szeged in Hungary. This will be the World Championships where Olympic quotas will be won or lost.
Hungary is a world powerhouse in canoe sprint, and will get a chance to flex its muscles in front of adoring fans at the new-look Szeged sprint course. The local federation has invested heavily to ensure this event matches the hype and is promising a world-class experience for athletes and spectators alike.
This will be the fourth ICF World Championships to be held at Szeged, with previous competitions held in 2011 (which was also an Olympic qualifying event), 2006 and 1998.
