A new chapter has begun for Paddle Europe after it officially inaugurated its headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland.
The new Paddle Europe offices are located within the Maison Internationale du Sport.
The move represents another major milestone in the evolution of European paddle sport governance.
Originally founded in 1993 in Rome as the European Canoe Association (ECA), the continental governing body has undergone a profound transformation over the past three decades.
In January, the ECA officially adopted its new name as Paddle Europe with aim of carrying out a renewed and ambitious development vision.
Following a comprehensive selection process involving National Federations, the Paddle Europe Board confirmed Lausanne as the new legal seat on January 26.

The relocation fulfils several of Paddle Europe’s strategic priorities, including establishing a modern headquarters, securing a robust legal framework, and positioning the federation within an ecosystem that enhances visibility and long-term development.
Last weekend, Paddle Europe held a Board meeting in the new offices to coincide with an official inauguration ceremony.
The occasion was attended by key figures in the international paddle sports community, including International Canoe Federation President Thomas Konietzko, as well as Swiss Canoe Federation President Ilja Vyslouzil and Secretary General Jeremias Schlaefli.
The new headquarters signals the start of a promising era for Paddle Europe as it seeks to provide stronger institutional foundations, increased international visibility and strategic proximity to the Olympic Movement and the wider international sports community.
Paddle Europe President Jean Zoungrana said: “The inauguration of the new headquarters in Lausanne marks an historic milestone for our federation.

“With a new identity, a new headquarters, and strengthened international partnerships, Paddle Europe is entering a dynamic new phase.
“This move secures modern facilities, stronger legal foundations, and greater visibility within the global sports community.
“Driven by innovation, inclusivity, and growth, this new chapter strengthens collaboration and opportunity, marking a decisive step forward for paddle sports across Europe.”
Mr Konietzko said: “I would like to congratulate Paddle Europe on the opening of its headquarters in Lausanne.
“This move reflects Paddle Europe’s evolution and growing ambition.
“As we continue to expand and elevate our sport worldwide, Paddle Europe’s leadership, innovation, and commitment will be instrumental in driving development and shaping a strong, sustainable future for paddle sport.”
