The Italian Canoe Kayak Federation (FICK) has officially unveiled its new logo at the CONI Hall of Honour, marking the beginning of a new phase focused on modernity, clarity, and strong recognition.

Developed in collaboration with creative partner The Branding Letters in dialogue with the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI), the rebrand introduces a refreshed visual identity.

The most significant change is the adoption of the paddle as the central symbol, representing all disciplines within the federation and reinforcing unity across paddle sport.

The design features fluid lines that evoke water, movement, and speed, while the forward-leaning paddle conveys progress and performance.

“Today marks an important transition for our federation. This logo is not just a crest, but our identity, an evolution that looks to the future while respecting our history,” said FICK President Antonio Rossi.

“It reflects the growth of our sport and gives equal importance to all disciplines through the symbol of the paddle.”

CONI President Luciano Buonfiglio highlighted the broader significance of the new identity.

“This logo represents what a federation should stand for: equal dignity for all disciplines, attention to clubs, and strong values. Leadership is built through results, growth, and the ability to organise major events,” he said.

With the new logo representing all disciplines equally, Italian Paralympic Committee President Marco Giunio De Sanctis had high praise for the rebrand.

“The federation has done such a fantastic job in Paracanoeing. It’s encouraging to see such commitment to the development of Paralympic sport and its future,” he said.

Italy will host several major international competitions, including the ICF Wildwater Canoeing World Cup 4 and 5 in Mezzana from June 25 to 28, the European Canoe Slalom Championships in Ivrea from September 24 to 26, and the ICF Stand Up Paddling World Championships in Sabaudia from October 14 to 18.
