A Dutch YouTuber teamed up with three of the Netherlands’ top slalom paddlers to take on the Olympic course in Paris.
Curious Mick visited the Vaires-sur-Marne Nautical Stadium where the world’s best are preparing for the Olympics in a week’s time.
With the help of Dutch paddlers Martina Wegman, Lena Teunissen and Joris Otten, Curious Mick learnt the basics of the sport and got the chance to try out the Olympic course.
Although he capsized a few times, Curious Mick said he thoroughly enjoyed his experience on the water.
“I’m filled with awe for this sport,” said Curious Mick.
“The enthusiasm and openness and their warm welcome has made this experience unforgettable.
“Despite the difficulty and occasional fear it was incredibly fun with them by my side.”
