The stage is set for the second International Canoe Federation Canoe Slalom World Cup of the season in Prague, Czechia. 

The iconic Troja course will hold the World Cup from June 5 to 7, with rising stars and experienced international poised to compete for glory. 

Here is a list of notable facts and figures for the World Cup in Prague.

236 – Athletes will tackle the course in Prague over the next three days of competition. 

21 – is the number of times Prague has previously staged a Canoe Slalom World Cup, with only Augsburg and La Seu staging it on more occasions. 

42 nations are participating in the World Cup.

9 – gold medals have been won by Jessica Fox on the Troja course during her glittering career. 

14 – athletes will represent Germany, Czechia and France, which all have the biggest squads.

25 – Olympic medallists are among the entry list, including 10 gold medallists with Australia’s Jessica Fox and Noemie Fox, New Zealand’s Finn Butcher, Italy’s Giovanni De Gennaro, France’s Nicolas Gestin, Slovenia’s Benjamin Savsek, Czechia’s Jiri Prskavec, Germany’ s Ricarda Funk, Great Britain’s Joseph Clarke and Spain’s Maialen Chourraut.

16 – is the age of the youngest paddler in the field with Slovakia’s Matus Egyhazy born in March 2010.
