In preparation for the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics, participants from seven Asian countries are receiving training in Paracanoe Classification & Coaching at the Asian Paracanoe Championships in Pattaya, Thailand.

Nine countries are participating in the competition, which finishes this weekend. Among them are representatives of Iran, India, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Japan, Korea, Myanmar, Hong Kong and Malaysia.

The International Canoe Federation, the Asian Canoe Confederation, and the Rowing & Canoeing Association of Thailand are supporting the Championships and the classification and coaching training. The support of the International Paralympic Committee's Agitos Foundation is gratefully acknowledged by all the participants.
