Other information
OLYMPIC DISAPPOINTMENT
He failed to qualify for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in the K2 event during the Olympic trials for the Canada team at Gainesville, GA, United States of America in May 2016. It was his last chance at qualifying for the Games in Rio after missing out on K4 qualification earlier in the year. "I put a lot of time into my Olympic dream, and I'm not sure if I can do it again. This is the end of my second Olympic cycle. If I want to invest another four years into the sport, I will have to delay my studies and career in law. It will be a difficult summer not having to prepare for Rio. I will think about everything and see if I want to put all my eggs into one basket for [Tokyo] 2020." (Lapresse.ca, 12 May 2016)
