Sue Natoli first worked as an Olympic Canoe Wlalom judge at the Sydney Olympics in 2000 - a time when the process was still quite basic and, to be frank, error-prone.

Fast forward to Paris 2024, Natoli is now the Chief Judge, technology has revolutionised the work of the officials, and has made life much fairer for the athletes.

In our latest episode of our “Inside Paris” podcast, Natoli talks about some of the pressures judges are under, how the process was changed since 2000, and how even the attitudes of the athletes and the teams have changed.

Spoiler alert: everything is much better now!
