Murray Stewart, Naomi Flood and Qiang Li headlined the race winners at the National Canoe Sprint Championships in Perth on Friday.

Stewart (pictured above) completed a clean sweep of the men’s 1000 metre titles with a dominant display in the coveted men’s K1 1000 A final.

The 2015 World Championship finalist recorded a time of 3:25.68 to finish 1.83 seconds ahead of Kenny Wallace.

Stewart's London Olympic K4 teammate Jacob Clear finished third in 3:27.90.

“It was fast conditions out there today and a fast field so I am just happy to come out with the win,” Stewart said.

Gold Coast paddler Jordan Wood finished fourth to win the under-23 title ahead of his K2 partner, Riley Fitzsimmons who finished seventh.

Western Australian Daniel Bowker was another impressive performer with his fifth placing putting him ahead of his rivals in the chase for the seventh 1000 metre men's Olympic spot.

“I was really nervous,” Bowker said.

“I knew if I could put a good race down everything would work out, and it looks like it has.”

Naomi Flood kept her Olympic dream alive with victory in the women’s K1 500 A final at the National Canoe Sprint Championships in Perth.

Flood entered the final needing a victory to stay in contention for Olympic nomination after Jo Brigden-Jones won the first nomination trial at the Oceania Championships in Adelaide.

With the support of a slight tailwind, Flood smashed her PB by two seconds to win in 1:48.02, 0.58 seconds ahead of Brigden-Jones.

Hometown favourite Alana Nicholls collected the bronze in 1:49.32.

Flood and Brigden-Jones will now contest a K1 500 race-off on Sunday morning to help selectors determine who will be nominated to the Australian Olympic team.
